Jim Pantall: one of us
Jim: true to form. Shorts, jazzy jumper and his crutches strapped to his trike
I’m sorry for sharing such a terrible note. We have had a message from Jim Pantall’s family to say that he died yesterday, 2nd April.
I really can’t describe how devastated I am to have this news. Jim was such a special human in so many wonderful ways. He was so kind and generous and brilliant to be around. I already miss him from Fred’s on a Friday these last few weeks and I will miss him again.
The thought of Jim reminds me of what Bike Worcester is all about: it’s about community and friendship and spending time together and the joy that cycling can bring into life. I’m so proud of what our community offered to Jim and I’m grieving the loss of what he meant to us.

Jim came off his trike in early March. He fractured his ribs and punctured a lung, in part due to a pre-existing condition affecting his bone strength. Despite some positive signs, he was unable to recover and was pronounced dead on the evening of Wednesday 2nd April.
We will be organising a ride in Jim’s memory and will share details via the usual channels. Please leave thoughts and memories of Jim in the comments below for his family.
Miss you, Jim.
Loads of love
Rob
