Worcester
On-Bike Treasure Hunt

A fun treasure trail on cycle paths around the City of Worcester!

Volunteers from Bike Worcester have created a cycling trail around the river paths with clues and puzzles to solve along the way. The full trail takes about 90 minutes (depending on little legs!)

There are a options for loos and cafes along the route, including Café Viaduct, Guilt Trip Donuts, Good Roots, Boston Tea Party and The Hive. Contact us if you have any questions.

Safety information

The trail is self-led and participants are responsible for their own safety.  Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Participants are responsible for ensuring their bicycle is in full working order before commencing the trail.  We would encourage bright coloured clothing, a bell and lights to ensure maximum visibility. The route is primarily along off-road cycle paths.

On any small sections where you are expected to share a road with motor vehicles, we would advise participants supervising young children to dismount and walk their bicycles along the pavement. These sections are very short and marked on the map.

Participants are expected to obey the highway code and use the cycle paths responsibly and with consideration of other users.  The trail follows public cycle paths and will be used by cyclists not doing the trail and often shared with other users such as pedestrians.

Please remember the event is not a race.  You will need to stop intermittently to find the clues so if you cycle too fast you may miss them! In the event of an emergency please call 999. In the event of a non-life-threatening medical problem please call 111. Please be aware much of the route is on cycle paths along the river.  The trail should only be completed during daylight hours. Care should be taken to keep children away from the river’s edge at all times.
